Cannot connect? Check these four things

Check your account, remaining data, system time and available servers in order before reinstalling the app.

Cannot connect? Check these four thingsIllustration

A connection failure is not always caused by the installer. Check the basics to narrow down whether the issue involves your account, device settings or a server. The following sequence is based on the official guidance.

1. Check your account status and access

Sign in to the user center and check your account status and service access. Being able to sign in to the app does not necessarily mean you can use every server.

Choose a server included in your account's access. Free accounts must use servers available to the free service; a server appearing in the list does not guarantee access.

Open the service user center

2. Check remaining data and reset dates

Check your remaining data and your plan's reset rules. Free data resets on the first day of each month. Standard VIP plans reset every 30 days from the purchase date; the balance update may be delayed.

Servers may have different data multipliers. Check the multiplier shown for the server you select. If you are unsure about your plan, verify it in the user center rather than relying on the app's connection switch.

3. Check your device's date and time

The official guidance asks users to check the system clock. Verify the date, time and time zone on your device and correct any obvious discrepancy.

After correcting the clock, try connecting again through the app. Record any error message exactly as it appears.

4. Try another available server and website

Try another server available to your account and open a familiar website. A problem with one server or one website does not necessarily mean the entire service is unavailable.

Server counts shown on this website are a snapshot, not a live availability count or a speed test. Check the service announcements and your current server list for the latest status.

If the issue persists, collect these details

Check the official guide for your platform and any service announcements. Recording where the problem occurs can help avoid repeating the same troubleshooting steps.

  • Your operating system, OS version and app name.
  • The stage where the issue occurs: installation, sign-in or connection.
  • The exact message and the checks you have already tried.
