When choosing a Linux installer, check two things: your processor architecture and the package format supported by your distribution. Confirm both before downloading.
First, check your device architecture
The official guide offers amd64 / x64 and ARM64 packages. For an x64 desktop, check the amd64 package; for an ARM64 device, check arm64. Always confirm your device's actual architecture.
The name amd64 does not mean the package is limited to one processor brand. What matters is matching the architecture.
Next, choose a package format
The official guide recommends checking AppImage first for a typical desktop setup. Debian and Ubuntu users can also consider a deb package, choosing amd64 or arm64 to match their device.
- x64 desktop
- amd64 AppImage / deb
- ARM64 device
- arm64 AppImage / deb
- Debian / Ubuntu
- Check the deb package for your architecture
Check compatibility before installing
The official site does not currently specify a single minimum distribution requirement. Read the Linux guide before downloading to check whether the installation method suits your system.
The main download link provides the x64 AppImage. For another architecture or format, use the options in the official guide.

Install the app as described in the official guide, then sign in with your service account. Check your remaining data and available servers and follow the app's instructions to connect.
If installation or startup fails, note your distribution, architecture, package format and exact error message, then consult the official guide.

Checks before you continue
- Record the distribution version and desktop environment. Run uname -m to distinguish architectures such as x86_64 and aarch64.
- After verifying the source, allow execution in the AppImage file’s permissions and launch it as your normal user. It is not a deb package.
- For a missing-library error, record the full message and consult your distribution’s documentation. Changing VPN servers cannot fix a local library dependency.
When to stop
Do not run unfamiliar programs with sudo or copy unverified download-and-execute commands. Stop when architecture, dependency sources or requested privileges are unclear.
